The Twos represent four unique expressions of the energy of the High Priestess and are metaphors for the four elements, the four Jungian functions, the four themes of consciousness. They show four ways the intuitive work of the High Priestess may express for you. In addition, as twos these cards show the driving force that follows initiation of any project. Text could describe the continuation of action of four different types.
Two symbolizes diversity, reflection, and conflict. It implies growth and the passage of time. One comes before, and is less than, two. Two is suggestive of all life processes. It also suggests the intuitive process of mind. The Twos represent the less conscious, more psychic or intuitive use of power. They represent the indirect use of the elements, and suggest conscious manipulation of the energies involved..
Wands
The Two of Wands reflects two choices in the world if inspiration and intuition, one coming from the left brain and the other from the right brain. It seems you can have it all if you can have these two choices, yet there is a sense that another choice is out there waiting for you.
Coins
The Two of Coins shows a choice between two material things. The fact that the man is standing on one foot indicates that two choices are incomplete without a third factor.
Swords
The Two of Swords reflects the dilemma of intellectual choice. It suggests you might as well be blindfolded when you have to choose between two ideas because you are faced with an incomplete set of choices. The water in the image suggests that the dilemma stirs up emotional turmoil.
Cups
The Two of Cups indicates the emotional union of two people or th two sides of consciousness. The angel blesses this union of opposites.
Twilight or half-light symbolizes the dichotomy of day and night. In a dream it may signal a dichotomy between dream elements of which you have been unaware in consciousness.
