The Moon represents the spiritual world and all its possibilities. Infinite space, the abyss, and the void are three expressions of the unknown power of the Universe. Shadows and darkness hold magical power. Water and travel by water allow psychic energies to flow to you and through you.
Deep within your conscious lie a few core beliefs. When the Moon appears in a reading, it signals a time when you may be examining these beliefs. You may discover that a closely held belief no longer fits with your overall values, and you then undertaken to change.
To change what is in your heart, you have to explore hidden recesses of y our less conscious mind. You may choose to work in the astral realm to free trapped spirits so they can go on to higher realm, or you may choose to work within your own consciousness to free trapped ideas so they may blossom and grow into greatness.
"The idea that man and dog have an
unconscious empathy is an ancient one. In The Odyssey
it is recorded that Odysseus's dog, Argos, was the only earthly
being to recognize the hero when he returned home from his
long voyage ... The dog cannot be fooled by a superimposed
persona ...he keeps us true to ourselves.
"Today modern man has shot through
the clouds in his space ships to land impudently on the moon's
dark surface. But to no avail. The secret of her inner glow
still remains hidden.
"Her essence is reflection ... The
gift the spacemen brought back to earth was a breathtaking
new image of the earth itself."
- Sallie Nichols
"Exploration of the secret realms is not without its perils,
and should be attempted only by one who has made ... spiritual
advancement, or under the guidance of a competent master."
- C. C. Zain
"I am the knot in the endless cord
of life,
"Binding Past to Future in the eternal Present.
"I am Aleph and Tav,
"Beginning and end."
- Paul Foster Case
Space travel has created a new love of the earth itself. We
see the delicate planet we call home from a new perspective
in the modern era of space travel, and we appreciate how easy
it is to damage the earth.
Similarly, the Moon reflects our individual
being to us. When we look into the message of the Moon, we
find ourselves speaking to us, perhaps more clearly than any
other voice we may hear. And how do we accomplish this kind
of understanding? By considering our own inner nature and
listening to it, rather than seeking the answers outside ourselves.
